MOSES LAKE (Dec. 17) — Due to the upcoming holidays, this will be the last report for 2010. The next report will be issued on Jan. 7, 2011.

Feeder cattle this week: 2,550; last week: 4,100; last year: 3,200.

Compared to last week, feeder cattle steady to 1.00 higher. Trade slow to moderate due to light supplies being offered with good demand. The feeder supply included 54 percent steers and 46 percent heifers. Near 96 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs. Prices are FOB weighing point with a 1-4 percent shrink or equivalent and with a 5-10 cent slide on calves and a 3-6 cent slide on yearlings. Delivered prices include freight, commissions and other expenses.

FEEDER STEERS: Medium and Large 1-2 FOB prices: 450-500 lbs 142.00 OR; 700-750 lbs 116.50 ID; 850-900 lbs 111.00 OR. Delivered prices: 850-900 lbs 112.00 WA. Future FOB prices: 800-850 lbs 111.00 value added for Jan OR; 850-900 lbs 110.00 for Jul OR. Future delivered prices: 850-900 lbs 112.00 for Mar-Apr WA.
