Apple Blossom royalty candidates announced

Wenatchee Valley

Twenty-seven teenage girls have been selected to compete for a spot on the 2011 Washington State Apple Blossom Festival Royal Court.

Candidates from Eastmont High School are Kaya Knaggs, Sarah Waterhouse, Lilli Alfaro, Tatianna Hankins, Samantha Sinko, Courtney Gutzman, Taryn Hayes, Rachel Hively, Jana Divis, Kimberly Dunn, Victoria Bravo, Diana Rodriguez and Lucy Arreguin.

Candidates from Wenatchee High School are Elissa Smith, Ariana Cabrera, Elise Shae, Itzia Luna, Bianca Martinez, Maycee McQuin, Lynette Harris, Emily Lesmeister, Michaelanne DeMarco, Morgan Kuntz, Elenore Bastian, Lauren Lee, Casie McGinness and Tabetha Villanueva.

Candidates will be honored at a Jan. 11 reception at the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee.

The Top 10 candidates will be named at 6 p.m. Jan. 12 at the center.

The pageant to select a queen and two princesses is set for 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Wenatchee High School Auditorium. Pageant tickets, at $18 for lower-level seating and $15 for upper-level seating, go on sale Jan. 13 at the Apple Blossom Festival office, 2 S. Chelan Ave.
