The Mansfield School as it neared completion in 1910. The six-room structure was built at a cost of $8,500 by J.W. Wright, mayor of the town. A gymnasium, extra classrooms and a cafeteria were added in 1934, further additions were made in 1962, and another gymnasium was built in 1970. The building was abandoned in 1983.

Jasper Thompson of Waterville is spending several days in Wenatchee.
J.D. Bonar of the Waterville Hotel is spending the day in Wenatchee on business.

The Jacks and Jills 4-H Club of Palisades held a party at the Art Allen home. Games were played under the direction of Marilee Davis and Jim Brett.
Brownie Troop 77 from Kenroy School had its investiture Wednesday at the H.R. Younkin residence in East Wenatchee. Members are Cathy Ball, Charlene Baumgardner, Cinda Broderson, Debbie Lou Haffner, Susan Miller, Margo Mitchell, Debbie Peart, Janice Slater and Elvira Younkin.
Ross Wilkinson was elected president of the Waterville Commercial Club for the coming year. Other officers are Charles Bisbee, vice president; and Don Dorsey, secretary-treasurer.

East Wenatchee Mayor Don Crain appointed former councilman Ray Duncan to the city’s planning commission.
