Waterville boys outpaced by old rival

Mansfield was able to get Cameron Peters hot in the first half to outpace the Shockers in a game at the Town Toyota Center Dec. 22.
Peters scored 21 points in the first half and 28 for the entire game.
Mansfield led from the beginning and never looked back.
The game ended in 62-45 win for Mansfield where Kayden Shager and Russel Whitehall for Waterville each scored 11 points.
No contest for girls at Town Toyota Center
Waterville varsity girls lost to Moses Lake Christian Academy at Town Toyota Center on Dec. 22, in a contest in which Waterville trailed the entire game.
In the first quarter Moses Lake was ahead 21-4 after one quarter. The Knights were led by McKenna Walker who scored 26 points.
Coach Kassie Ludeman said, “The girls are working hard. Getting a win would be a big lift to them. That will come.”
Kassidy Simmons scored 11 to lead the Shockers.
The final score was 68-28.
