Known for its glassy surface and the massive cliffs that tower above it, Dream Lake is one destination in Rocky Mountain National Park that can’t be missed.

The most popular way to access this lake is via the Bear Lake Trailhead. This casual 2.2 mile round-trip hike delivers great views of Longs Peak, the only 14er in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Dream Lake is located at a high altitude of 9,905 feet above sea level.

The most noticeable peak that rises above Dream Lake is Hallett Peak, a 12,720 foot mountain with a dramatic cliff band and a sharp point near the summit.
