5 Colorado Events this Weekend, August 25 – 27

Whether you’re on the Front Range or in Western Colorado, there’s an event taking place near you. From celebrating National Parks to drinking cider and eating so much corn you don’t know what to do, here’s five things to do in Colorado this weekend to get you out there.
1. National Park Service Birthday

On August 25th, head out to your nearest (or favorite National Park!) to celebrate the birthday of the National Park Service with free entrance. National Parks in Colorado with free entrance include the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, Rocky Mountain National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, and Mesa Verde National Park.

2. Colorado State Fair & Rodeo
Head on down to Pueblo, Colorado for the Colorado State Fair and Rodeo. This fair will last eleven days and nights with family-friendly fun such as carnivals, free attractions, great fair food, livestock, and much more! Jam out with bands and acts such as Skillet, Gabriel Inglesias, ZZ Top, and Gary Allen. If you can’t make it on certain day, don’t worry! The Colorado State Fair will last from August 25th – September 4th.

3. Loveland Corn Roast Festival
Join Loveland, Colorado as they throw the 2017 Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival. Expect a parade, corn shucking competition, corn eating contest, a cornhole tournament, and all the roasted and boiled non-GMO corn anyone could dream of eating.

4. Colorado Cider & Beer Festival
This event is located at Copper Mountain Resort and is for the Cider lovers and the ones who tried and didn’t like at first. From beer to cider, you’ll find a drink that suits your tastes, as more than twenty different cideries and breweries will be at this event. Walk around and taste different ciders and beers as you’re entertained by jugglers, aerial artists, and more.

5. Western Colorado Senior Games

Join in on the fun for this event designed for the friendly, yet competitive, 50 years and better bunch.
