5 Colorado Events this Weekend, September 29 – October 1

Fall is finally here! Head out and enjoy the changing colors as you participate in events from Grand Lake to Fort Collins, Estes Park to Denver. Enjoy an Oktoberfest, celebrate Elktober in Estes Park, enjoy views of Grand Lake while viewing art, get outside in Buena Vista, or watch your favorite furry friend parade in the streets of Fort Collins.

1. OktoBREWfest

Located in the historic Lincoln Park in Downtown Greeley, enjoy a wide variety of craft beer from Northern Colorado Breweries, lawn and arcade games, live music, an obstacle course, an inflatable slide, and more on September 30th. Compete in the pie eating contests, stein lifting contests, life-size beer pong, and more at this family-friendly event.

2. Estes Park Elk Fest

Starting Saturday, September 30th and lasting until October 1st, the Elk Fest celebrates the beginning of “Elktober” in Estes Park as the fall season arrives. Celebrate the natural beauty and wildlife of Estes Park with activities such as kid’s games, a beer garden, Native American storytelling & music, live entertainment, educational areas, and other family-friendly activities.

3. Grand Lake Art Fest

If you haven’t been to Grand Lake, you’re missing out. There’s no better way to enjoy an art festival than in this hidden gem of a mountain town with a gorgeous lake, topped off with beautiful mountain views. Walk around and view the creativeness of local artists as they showcase their art and handcrafted goods.

4. 14er Fest

Celebrate the Colorado outdoors in Buena Vista, Colorado with a fun weekend of mountain activities, clinics, and live music. This event will feature activity meet-ups like group hikes and off-road excursions, clinics where you can learn how to brew coffee in the backcountry,  Leave No Trace ethics, and land stewardship practices. At night, expect live music performances and drinks from some of Colorado’s favorite breweries and distilleries. Although the event is free, fees may be required for running races and in-town camping sites.

5. Tour de Corgi

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Tour de Corgi in Fort Collins, where you can unleash your inner kid and see your favorite loaf of bread parade around downtown. Prepare to say “awwwww” as Corgi owners dress up their Corgis for different contest categories such as the Prettiest Pooch, Baddest to the Bone, Funniest Furry, Cutest Couple, Like Human Like Corgi, Greatest Group, and Completely Creative. Although the Corgi meet-up happens at 10 am, the parade starts at 12 pm and lasts until 3 pm.
