1. Manitou Springs Christmas Parade

Kickoff the holiday season in Manitou Springs on Friday, December 1st for their 2nd annual Christmas Parade event. Businesses in Manitou Springs will be competing to see who has the best decorations for the holiday season and best of all, you can vote to choose the winner! Guests are encouraged to bring any unwanted toys for donations as Toys 4 Tots will be marching and collecting during the parade.

2. Race of the Santas

The streets of Breckenridge fill up with the holiday favorite as they participate in a Race of the Santas. This race happens on Main Street in Breckenridge on Saturday December 2nd and is a friendly competitive race. If you don’t feel like running, you can walk, jog, or hop your way on this 6-block course to the finish line as you spread the holiday spirit. All proceeds go to benefit the local charity, the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center.

3. Fort Lupton’s Winterfest

The Winterfest takes place once again in Fort Lupton for the thirteenth year in a row. Join the crowd as they go to the Fort Lupton Rec Center for a multitude of activities for anyone to enjoy. Activities include a Snowball Softball Tournament, a Cornhole Tournament, 5K Family Fun Run, a kids carnival, Bingo, and more!

4. Colorado Springs Festival of Lights
This tradition returns for its 33rd annual event located in Downtown Colorado Springs. Bring your blankets, hot drinks, and holiday spirit as this is a great way to kick off the beginning of December as it kicks off the holiday season.

5. Telluride Ski Resort Opening Day

Tucked in the southwestern part of Colorado, head out on December 2, 2017 for the opening day of the Telluride Ski Resort for the 2017/2018 season. Ski your heart out while taking in the breathtaking views of this beautiful mountain town. Expected closing date is April 8, 2018.
