‘Tis the season for holiday spirit in December. From Christmas parades to holiday 5K’s to chocolate festivals, head out this weekend to create some memories at these five Colorado events this weekend.

1. 9th Annual Jingle Bell 5K

Located at Fountain Creek Regional Park, the Fountain Valley YMCA is hosting this years annual Jingle Bell 5K and one-Mile Kid’s Fun Run on December 9, 2017. The miler begins at 9 am and the 5K follows shortly after at 9:30 am. Awards are given to the top 3 males/females finishers in each age division. Don’t forget to wear your favorite or worst holiday outfit!

2. Olde Fashioned Christmas at Schmid Ranch

This Telluride tradition is located at the Schmid Ranch on December 9, 2017 from 12 pm – 4 pm. With Santa visits from 1 pm – 3 pm, join the holiday fun with sleigh rides, hot cocoa, create your own wreath, or find the perfect Christmas tree.

3. Wine, Chocolate, and Cheese Festival

This local favorite hosts the best of the best of local vendors. Head out to Ouray on December 9, 2017 for the Wine, Chocolate, and Cheese Festival and experience the locally made treats. All proceeds benefit the local non-profit, the Fortuna Tierra Club.

4. 2017 Christmas Carriage Parade

The Town of Parker and the Colorado Driving Society bring everyone together for the annual Christmas Carriage Parade. This year’s parade is bigger than ever with an expanded route planned. Check out the petting zoo, pony rides, holiday carolers, Santa’s reindeer exhibit, ice sculpting, Winter Market, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and more!

5. Holiday Chocolate Festival

The 9th annual Holiday Chocolate Festival is located Colorado Springs’ Altered Reality Event Center on December 9, 2017. Enjoy free photos with Santa, thousands of chocolate samples, free face paintings, bounce houses, human hamster balls, local artisan booths, and more! Stick around to meet Anna and Elsa from Frozen and sing along with them!
