Colorado Springs Thief Uses Stolen Tractor to Ram ATM
A thief hoping to rob a U.S. Bank used a tractor to ram into an ATM Wednesday morning.
The tractor was stolen from a Kum & Go construction site near the bank at 1125 W. Garden of the Gods Road about 5 a.m., Colorado Springs police said. Employees of nearby business who reported the attempted theft said they saw the tractor being driven through the shopping center parking lot before smashing into the ATM.
The ATM was damaged but not enough to steal any money.
Police have not identified a suspect but are searching through surveillance footage.
