Extreme Fire Danger Monday in Southeastern Colorado
The National Weather Service Office in Pueblo is forecasting a mostly warm week with a slight chance for snow on Wednesday for Colorado Springs. As well as a Red Flag Warning for a few counties in south and southeastern Colorado.
The high temperature for Monday is 52 degrees with a west wind moving 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the morning.
The weather service has issued Red Flag Warning indicating high fire danger for a large swath of southeastern Colorado including Kiowa, Las Animas, Huerfano and Prowers counties.
Tuesday is looking slightly warmer for Colorado Springs with a high temperature of 54 degrees and a low temperature of 25 degrees.
The weather dips Wednesday with a high temperature of 45 degrees and a 20 percent chance for snow showers. The low temperature for Wednesday is forecast to be 19 degrees.
The weather service says things will warm up after that with high temperatures of 48 degrees Thursday and 57 degrees Friday.
