Larkspur Fire Grows to 20+ Acres; Helicopter Deployed
The fire near Spruce Mountain Road and East Noe Road is more than 20 acres in size, the Larkspur Fire Department tweeted just after 2:20 p.m.
No structures have been lost, the department said in the tweet, calling it the “#NoRoadFire.”
A pre-evacuation notice has been issued to Larkspur residents east of Spruce Mountain Road and north of Fox Farm Road, the department said in another tweet. Those residents should be “ready to leave at a moment’s notice.”

Douglas County first responders issued a pre-evacuation for residents near a grass fire burning in Larkspur.

The fire sparked just after noon Friday near Spruce Mountain Road and East Noe Road, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office tweeted. Those living in the area of Noe Raod south of Fox Farm Road between Interstate 25 and Perry Park Road are being asked to prepare for immediate evacuation, the Sheriff’s Office tweeted.
A helicopter and an MMA327 plan have been deployed to help extinguish the blaze.
The National Weather Service did not issue a red flag warning for Larkspur today, though the Sheriff’s Office placed Unincorporated Douglas County under stage 1 fire restrictions.
