Strong Winds Flip Multiple Vehicles on Colorado Roadways
Strong winds have been causing havoc on Colorado roads Friday, March 23. Be warned that you should drive with extra caution. Most issues have been restricted to the Colorado Front Range area, specifically between Pueblo and New Mexico.

12:47 p.m.
Westbound I-70 at Copper Mountain is open. The Colorado State Patrol expects eastbound I-70 at Vail to reopen shortly.

11:41 a.m.
The high wind restriction for all light and empty high profile vehicles on I-25 has been extended from Pueblo to the New Mexico State line. At least three vehicles have blown over between Colorado City and New Mexico.

11:13 a.m.
All commercial motor vehicles and lightweight high profile vehicles are asked to stop and park on I-25 between Colorado City and Trinidad, mile markers 0 to 74, due to high winds. Multiple vehicles have blown over and are blocking the roadway, Colorado State Patrol Pueblo tweeted.
The crash on northbound I-25 south of Woodmen has been removed from traffic.

Westbound Interstate 70 closed at Copper Mountain, mile marker 195, due to heavy snow. No estimated time of reopening.

10:18 p.m.
The right lane of the Woodmen Road exit ramp on northbound Interstate 25 is blocked due to a crash.

26th Street north of Gold Camp Road is closed in both directions due to a downed power line.

The right lane of eastbound Garden of the Gods at Forrest Hill Road is blocked.

A crash on Cresta Road and Altair Drive is blocking traffic.
