According to a report by the Daily Record, the Cañon City News organization, authorities are investigating a body that was found in the Royal Gorge area on Friday.

Few details have been released aside from that the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and the Cañon City Police Department are working together on the case. It’s also been noted that they believe this is an isolated incident.

While our team was unable to pin down an exact location of the incident, one of our sources informed us that a cluster of police cars were gathered around the Royal Gorge rest area yesterday. This may or may not be related.
