Numerous Roads in Eastern Plains Remain Closed Following Blizzard

Following a powerful storm that passed through the Eastern Plains of Colorado on Friday resulting in high winds and – at times – 7 foot tall snow drifts, several roads remain closed. This storm has tailed into Saturday, with warnings for high winds in the area issued until 6 pm. Gusts along the Front Range are expected to hit 50 to 60 miles per hour.

High profile vehicles are warned to be especially cautious, especially those not carrying much weight. Here’s a way to find all closings according to CDOT.

Be warned that a traction law has also been put in effect for much of the high country, including I-70 between Copper and Vail.
