Though hot springs options are limited in the immediate Denver area, the drive will be well worth the effort for the level of relaxation Colorado’s hot springs provide. If you’re looking to experience some of Colorado’s natural hot springs, we’ve put together a list of five hot springs near Denver to help you make the most of your visit.

1. Indian Hot Springs, Idaho Springs

Probably the closest hot springs to the city of Denver, Indian Hot Springs is located in the historic mining town of Idaho Springs and is easily accessible from the I-70 corridor.

2. Glenwood Hot Springs Resort, Glenwood Springs

Though not in the immediate Denver vicinity, Glenwood Hot Springs Resort is easily accessed from I-70 after a scenic two and a half hour drive from Denver.

3. Old Town Hot Springs, Steamboat Springs

Though Steamboat Springs is a bit of a journey from Denver, the town sees a lot of traffic from Denver visitors. Old Town Hot Springs is one of the closer facilities to the Denver area and a must see for those visiting the northern part of the state.

4. Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa, San Luis Valley

Head south towards the San Luis Valley and Great Sand Dunes National Park to enjoy Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa. Accommodations include hotel rooms, tipis, campsites, and yurts.

5. Desert Reef Hot Springs, Florence

Desert Reef Hot Springs is located in the Royal Gorge region and is known for being clothing optional. The waters of this natural hot springs are adjusted seasonally to maintain an ideal soaking temperature.
