Repurposed aircraft serves up “first-class” dining in Colorado
Coloradans, prepare for take off.
Take dining to the next level with aviation-style eats and drinks aboard a repurposed plane. Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Airplane Restaurant is sure to provide a unique, “first-class” dining experience coupled with a trip through aviation history.
This restaurant can accommodate up to forty-two “passengers” with dining options ranging from Runway Crunch Chicken Strips to the Philly Flyer and Flying Fortress Fajita Salad. On top of that, the menu features a wide variety of signature cocktails including the Blue Max, Chocolate Touchdown, Arctic B-52, and Canadian Bomber.

Built in 1953, this Boeing KC-97 is one of the largest piston aircraft ever built by Boeing and holds a surprisingly deep history. In May of 2002, the famous aircraft was converted into a full-service restaurant and bar for aviation enthusiasts.
Currently, The Airplane Restaurant is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with special hours during the holiday season. Reservations are recommended.
