The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office has issued a partial closure on Flagstaff Road Thursday afternoon, September 26.

Law enforcement is working to rescue a woman whose car plunged off of Flagstaff Mountain and down an embankment, according to a report from the Daily Camera.

According to the tweet below from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Flagstaff Road is closed between Crown Rock and Realization Point. Please avoid the area and let first responders work.

Flagstaff Mountain is located close to downtown Boulder, which provides access to a variety of hiking and mountain biking trails that overlook the city. It’s also a popular area for climbers. The map below shows the location of Flagstaff Mountain.
