Multi-vehicle crash closes I-25 northbound in Colorado

Multi-vehicle crash closes I-25 northbound in Colorado

Heavy snow is causing chaos on the roads across Colorado Thursday, with multiple crashes and delays.

Update: Both directions of I-25 are now open through the Gap, between Monument and Castle Rock.

According to  CDOT, the northbound lanes of I-25 are now closed at County Line Road (Exit 163) in Monument due to a multi-vehicle crash. For detours, drivers are being rerouted to CO 83 or CO 105.

This is a developing story.

Currently, there is no estimated time for reopening. Check CDOT’s Facebook, Twitter (@coloradodot) or  cotrip.org for more information.

Be safe and slow down out there! The roads are slick and icy as a strong winter storm continues to bring heavy snow, ice, and strong winds to parts of Colorado.
