Frigid temperatures shatter records across parts of Colorado

Bitter cold temperatures hit Colorado on Halloween morning, shattering previous record-low temperatures set 28 years ago.
As wild winter weather swept through much of the state this week, dropping up to 16+ inches of snow – temperatures quickly dropped. Pueblo reached -5 degrees Thursday morning, breaking the previous daily record of 14 degrees set in 1991. Temperatures also dipped to 7 degrees in Colorado Springs on Thursday morning, beating the previous daily record of 10 degrees, also set in 1991.

Temperatures also fell to 7 degrees in Grand Junction Wednesday morning, crushing the previous daily record of 19 degrees, which was set in 1972. In addition to smashing a new daily record, this is also the all-time record low recorded for the month of October.
The low temp in Grand Junction bottomed out at 7 degrees at 7:58 am MDT. This set a new record low for Oct 30th and also CRUSHED the all-time #record low for the month of #October in Grand Junction!
