Visit Any Colorado National Park for FREE this Monday, November 11

Need more mountain views in your life? Soak in the scenery at any National Park for FREE this Monday, November 11th, in honor of Veterans Day.

There are four National Parks in Colorado including Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Great Sand Dunes National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park. Just remember to use the Leave No Trace core principles when visiting.

The National Park Service has been offering this fee-free day for the last 13 years in honor of current, retired, and reserve members of the United States Armed Forces and their families.

Active duty military members and permanently disabled veterans are also eligible for free year-round park passes, which includes access to more than 2,000 national parks, wildlife refuges, national forests, and other federal recreational areas.

Veterans Day will be the last fee-free day in 2019. For 2020 fee-free entrance days, click here.

Please Note: The entrance fee waiver for the fee-free days does not cover amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours. If visiting out of state, please be aware of potential mountain dangers including wild weather, difficult terrain, and most importantly – altitude sickness
