Death occurs along scenic drive in Colorado

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 37-year-old male who was found near his vehicle along the 40000 block of the Peak to Peak Highway in unincorporated Boulder County.
According to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, the Boulder County Communications Center received an alert via OnStar Tuesday morning at about 7:22 a.m. asking for a welfare check for the driver of the vehicle due to an unknown medical issue. Multiple agencies responded to the incident, including the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Ward Marshall, Indian Peaks Fire Protection District, and the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.
The official cause and manner of death are pending, along with the identification of the deceased. These details will be released in an announcement from the Boulder County Coroner’s Office. At this time, this death is not being treated as suspicious.
The Peak to Peak Scenic Byway is a 55-mile long route that runs along Colorado’s Front Range, offering access to a number of key attractions including Rocky Mountain National Park, Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, and Eldora Ski Resort. The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating a body found lying in a snowbank on the side of Ute Highway earlier this month.
