While November thus far has been relatively dry, dropping Colorado’s snowpack below the typical average despite a powder-filled October, fear not – more snow is on the way.
According to Joel Gratz of OpenSnow.com, 1 to 4 inches will likely land in Colorado’s northern mountains between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Another model mentioned in his report shows that some snow could also land in the eastern mountains. Read his full in-depth report here.
The next snow will likely hit the state sometime between November 20 and November 26.
The Front Range will be unlikely to see any snow during the storm incoming this weekend, with Denver likely to have temperatures in the 50s and 60s along with a rainy Saturday. Colorado Springs will probably be slightly warmer, also with a wet Saturday. Further north, Fort Collins will be in the 60s and partially cloudy throughout the rest of the week.
In the mountains, Breckenridge will have highs in the 40s to 50s through Sunday, with the PM snow showers likely to land on Saturday night.
The San Luis Valley will be mostly sunny with highs in the 50s throughout the rest of the week.
On the Western Slope, Grand Junction is looking at highs in the 60s with mostly sunny skies through next Tuesday.
