1. Ember

Head to Ember for a culinary adventure full of polished service and delicious foods in a sophisticated mountain setting. Get your fix of fine dining with entrees like the “Wagyu New York Steak,” made with purple potato hash, spaghetti squash, and pisco sour geleé aji armarillo caramel or the “Pork Osso Bucco” prepared with sweet potato and quinoa salad, chayote slaw, avocado crema, honey, and al pastor sauce. For wild game eaters, the elk served with blue cheese mashers, white asparagus salsa, pine cone syrup, smoked mushroom, and bacon fat hollandaise is a top pick. Small plates include lobster enchiladas, buffalo carnitas, and the soft shell crab salad. If you have a hankering for something sweet, save a little room for dessert. The “Hot Chocolate Mess,” packed full of fluffy chocolate avocado cake, chocolate nicuatole, banana habanero foam, pop rocks, and cajeta caramel sauce, is sure to hit the spot.

2. Breckenridge Brewery

The Breckenridge Brewery & Pub has been serving Colorado ales since 1990. Join in on the action with a fresh batch of ales, lagers, or sours while sinking your teeth into a fresh juicy burger. Build your own burger by combining all your favorite fixin’s including bacon, guacamole, fried egg, avocado, or crispy fried onion strings. Other tasty options on the menu include piled-high nachos, hearty salads, wild game meatloaf, and fully-loaded mac n’ cheese. Outdoor seating is also available on the patio. Four-legged friends are welcomed to join, but must be leashed on the other side of the patio.

3. Sancho Tacos

Come get your fix of guac, street-style tacos, and salted margaritas at Sancho Tacos. Whether you prefer crunchy or soft, the tacos are seriously out of this world. Zesty combinations like the southern fried chicken, honey-chipotle mayo, cheddar, shredded lettuce, and pico de gallo will send your taste buds into a fiery and flavorful shock. If you and your pals plan to go here for an evening of tacos and margaritas, you’ll want to be sure to arrive early. This is a popular spot and it tends to get very crowded, even into those late-night hours.

4. The Canteen Tap House and Tavern

Enjoy dinner at The Canteen Tap House and Tavern, a multi-cuisine restaurant that serves up a variety of comfort foods. The “BBQ Korean Pork Street Tacos,” made with sticky Vietnamese pulled pork, shredded cabbage, scallions, cilantro, honey sriracha on whole wheat sweet tortillas are seriously so good. On the patio, you’ll find plenty of outdoor seating for some post-adventure sipping. I recommend trying a fruity mojo muddled with mint, fresh lime, rotating berries, and white rum. It’s a refreshing reward, especially after a long day of exploring.

5. Mountain Flying Fish

Craving sushi and sake? Mountain Flying Fish is the go-to Breck destination for Japanese cuisine. Chow down on some good and creative eats with a vibrant mix of sushi rolls consisting of raw fish, fresh veggies, colorful fruits, and creamy avocados. Pair it with some sake to add an extra layer to your experience.
