Former NFL pro-bowler stars in thriller filming in Colorado
It’s beginning to look a lot like Hollywood in ski country. Film crews are on the set shooting a new thriller “ Red Winter” in Grand Lake, Colorado.
The movie, directed by Steven C. Pitts, is about a couple who witness a murder at the hands of two cartel hitmen while on a snowmobiling trip in Grand Lake. The couple “Carla Andrews and Daniel Marx,” played by Ashley A. Williams and former star NFL tight end Vernon Davis, find themselves trapped and fighting for survival in the snowy mountains.

A recent report from Blackfilm.com says the movie will be filmed in multiple locations across the state including Granby, Winter Park, and Denver. If all goes as planned, it could air as early as next winter.
Vernon Davis recently ended his NFL career following the 2019 season. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2006 and was eventually traded to the Denver Broncos in 2015, where he won Super Bowl 50. He was then traded to the Redskins in 2016 until his retirement.
