Criminals should cease nefarious activity, requests Colorado Sheriff’s Office

One Colorado Sheriff’s Office has a special request for the county’s criminals – please cease your nefarious activities immediately.

Logan County Sheriff’s Office, located in the northeastern town of Sterling, released the following message related to the COVID-19 outbreak:

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and its contagious nature, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office is asking all criminal activities/nefarious conduct to cease until further notice. We appreciate your anticipated cooperation in halting crime and thank criminals in advance. We will update you when you can return to your normal criminal behavior. #socialdistancingnow #behaveyourself”

This post is one of the latest in a number of agencies and companies trying to make light of a worry-some situation.

All restaurants and bars closed today with the exception of take-out and delivery services. Places where people of 50 or more typically gather were also shut down, including gyms and theaters. The statewide closure is set to last for 30 days. Prior to that announcement, the Denver mayor stated that restaurants and bars in the city would have a similar closure, but for 8 weeks.

Ski resorts have officially closed around the state until at least March 22. Vail announced that their resorts would be closed for the season.
