This 8.1-mile trail takes you through some of the most jaw-dropping alpine scenery in all of Colorado. Switchbacks gaining a steep and rocky 3,093 feet of elevation will get your heart and lungs pumping. As you ascend deeper into the narrowing trail, you’ll find colorful floral displays in open alpine meadows (including the official state flower), peaceful streams glistening in the sun, and views that will leave you in awe.
