Denver FBI searching for man in child sexual exploitation investigation
The FBI Denver Division released photos Wednesday of an unidentified man thought to have information about a child sexual exploitation investigation.
The man, called John Doe 42, is believed to have critical information pertaining to the identity of a child victim, the FBI said Wednesday.
A video from October 2015 shows the man with a child. The video was obtained by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children last year.
The man is described as a white male with gray hair, between 50 and 65 years old and wearing a red and black plaid shirt.
He is heard speaking English in the video. The man’s appearance might have changed since the video was taken in 2015.
More photos of the man, as well as an audio recording of his voice from the video, are available at fbi.gov/wanted/ecap.
Anyone with information about the identity of John Doe 42 is asked to call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-225-5324 or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
This investigation is part of the FBI’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program initiatives.
The initiatives include partnerships between the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, using image analysis and media exposure to identify child victims and individuals in association with child pornography.
Since the inception of ECAP in 2004, 47 child victims have been identified and 42 John/Jane Does have been investigated, 29 of whom have been successfully identified.
