Mandatory evacuations eased for new wildfire in Grand County
The Grand County Sheriff’s Office eased a mandatory evacuation order after a new wildfire sparked Wednesday afternoon near Kremmling northwest of Denver, according to county’s Office of Emergency Management.
The blaze, dubbed the Spring Creek Fire, is burning northwest of the Williams Fork Fire, according to Gazette news partner 9News.
The OEM put out a map showing the evacuation zone. It has burned about 35 acres.
The mandatory evacuation order was later eased to pre-evacuation orders in the area of Highway 9 east of the Blue River and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
