A shooting Monday night near the Cherry Creek Mall left one person in the hospital, the Denver Police Department said.

The shooting happened in the 100 block of Cook Street, only blocks from the mall. Police announced the shooting just after 7:30 p.m.

Police said one victim, a man, was taken to a hospital with what appeared to be nonlife-threatening injuries.

The victim is expected to survive.

No suspect information is available at this time. No arrests have been made.
