Report: This will be the most common Halloween costume in Colorado
This year, the most popular Halloween costume in Colorado will be the pirate costume, according to a new report released by AT&T’s All Home Connections.
The report analyzed Google searches for costumes in each state to determine which will be the most common.
Pirate was the top searched costume in four states this year. It was also No. 1 in Arizona, Minnesota and Mississippi.
“In most years, statewide costume favorites are predictable (think Hawaii and mermaids),” the report said, “but in true 2020 spirit, this year has surprised us.”
The most popular costume in the U.S. was SpiderMan with nine states, followed by Harley Quinn with seven states. In total, 43% of states had a superhero or supervillain as their most searched costume.
Other popular costumes include witch (six states), princess (five states) and mouse (five states).
Last year, the most popular costume in Colorado was “the 1980s” along with nine other states, making it the most popular costume in the country.
