Real estate company chooses Denver as new HQ
A California real estate company has chosen Denver as the location for its new headquarters.
Healthpeak Properties Inc. out of Irvine, Calif., announced its decision to move to the Mile High City earlier this week after previously considering several counties throughout the metro area.
According to officials at the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Healthpeak chose Denver over Nashville and Dallas.
Last month, the Colorado Economic Development Commission offered nearly $5.3 million tax incentive credit over a eight-year span, in an attempt to have Healthpeak choose Colorado.
Officials say that Healthpeak’s new headquarters will create 166 full-time positions that’ll spread across the corporate functions of the company, according to a media briefing of the project sent to The Denver Gazette.
Multiple attempts to reach officials from Healthpeak Properties on Wednesday were unsuccessful.
