Boulder climber rescued from Second Flatiron

A Boulder woman was rescued Sunday after getting stuck while climbing the Second Flatiron, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office announced.

The sheriff’s office was informed of a trapped climber about 1:30 p.m.

The 31-year-old woman had been scrambling the flatiron when she became unable to find adequate hand or foot holds. She was unable to move up or down.

In a two-hour rescue, members from Rocky Mountain Rescue Group lowered the climber to the ground. She was uninjured and able to hike out to the trailhead unassisted.

Agencies involved in the rescue included the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks and the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group.
