Denver Boys and Girls Clubs toy drive to begin Friday

toy drive

Metro Denver’s Boys and Girls Clubs will kick off the annual Together 4 Colorado Toy Drive on Friday, collecting toys and donations for the holiday season.

The drive will accept donations of new, unwrapped toys at all Front Range King Soopers locations through Dec. 24. Gift cards and cash donations will also be accepted in person and at cbsdenver.com.

“This year, kids and families are depending on Boys & Girls Clubs more than ever before,” the club said.

“When you support the Together 4 Colorado toy drive, you’re bringing joy to Denver’s kids and relief for parents, by making sure kids have a gift to open this holiday season.”

Donations including toys, games, art kits, sporting equipment, electronics, bikes, helmets, gift cards, makeup, hats, scarves and other personal accessories are needed.

Collected gifts will be distributed among the over 20 neighborhood Boys and Girls Clubs throughout metro Denver beginning in mid-December.

A collection center will be hosted by the University of Denver at the Ritchie Center Circle on Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon.

CBS4 will hold a drive-thru collection on Dec. 11 from noon to 7 p.m. at the Lakewood King Soopers at 7984 W. Alameda Ave. and the Arvada King Soopers at 8055 Sheridan Blvd.
