5 Douglas County restaurants forced to close for serving customers indoors

Five restaurants in Douglas County have been forced to close by the Tri-County Health Department after allegedly violating public health orders by serving customers indoors.
The restaurants are:
- The Office Bar and Kitchen (230 Third St., Castle Rock)
- The Library Co. Bar & Kitchen (3911 Ambrosia St., Suite 101, Castle Rock)
- The Whisky Lodge (3911 Ambrosia St., Suite 3, Castle Rock)
- The Gym Co Tavern (18951 Mainstreet, Unit C, Parker)
- Tailgate Tavern and Grill (19552 Mainstreet, Parker)
Douglas County launches $15 million grant program for restaurants and indoor event venues
The health department said the restaurants failed to comply with the requirement under the Level Red public health order that retail food establishments in Douglas County stop all indoor dining.
Colorado health department tightens COVID-19 restrictions on 8 more counties
The restaurants were ordered to be closed immediately and cannot reopen until the health department determines they are incompliance with the public health order.
Douglas County is one of nearly two dozen counties in the state that is under the stricter Level Red restrictions in an attempt to slow the rapid growth of COVID-19.
