Denver police investigating afternoon shooting

Denver Polices are investigating an afternoon shooting in the Clayton neighborhood that sent a man to the hospital.

Jay Casillas, a spokesperson for the police department, said the victim was shot in the lower leg and the injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

Officers responded to a shooting in the 3400 block of York Street shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday and found the victim that had sustained a gunshot wound. 

Currently there have been no arrests made and investigators are still on-scene gathering information, Casillas said.
