Police investigate homicide in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood

Police are conducting a homicide investigation after a man’s body was discovered Monday morning in the Berkeley neighborhood, the Denver Police Department announced.
The body was found outdoors in the 4000 block of North Grove Street, blocks from Skinner Middle School, police said.
Police announced the initial investigation just after 8 a.m.

Police originally said they were conducting an outdoor death investigation but changed it to a homicide after discovering the victim had been shot.
The identity of the victim and exact cause of death have not yet been released. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will announce the information at a later date.
