Law enforcement officials say one person has been arrested in connection with a Friday night shooting, but three others remain at large.

Denver Police officers responded to several reports of multiple gunshots in the 3500 block of Park Avenue West in Denver’s Globeville neighborhood just after 6:30 p.m. Friday.

During the initial investigation, officers learned the victim, an adult male, entered a vehicle of one of the suspects, when suddenly three people approached the vehicle and began shooting, said Nate MaGee a public information officer for the department.

Officials say the victim fell out of the vehicle and began returning fire at the suspects.

Upon the arrival of officers, the four suspects and victim fled the scene, said MaGee.

Officers located the victim in the 4300 block of Lipan Street. He was transported to a nearby medical facility.

Currently the victim is in critical condition but is expected to survive, MaGee said.

Officers located one of the suspects later that night, but information about his apprehension and identity are not being released at this time.

Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the three suspects at-large are encourage to contact the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
