Two men arrested in connection to a Lakewood homicide
Lakewood Police say a second man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting of a woman on Tuesday.
Donald Robinson, 37, of Aurora, was arrested near Sunset, Texas, which is a little over an hour northwest of Dallas, by the Texas State Highway Patrol on Saturday morning. He is awaiting extradition from Wise County to Jefferson County, according to a news release.
Previously, Clenon S. Redd, 36, was arrested Wednesday and is currently being held in Jefferson County jail charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence, according to online court records.
Just before 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Lakewood Police officers were dispatched to a Safeway in the 9100 block of West Colfax Avenue after reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they located 59-year-old Charlotte Williams of Arvada, who had suffered a gunshot wound.
Officials began life-saving measures before she was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Lakewood PD investigating deadly afternoon shooting
Authorities say they are still looking for a third suspect that is described as an woman in her mid-30s who was last seen leaving the crime scene wearing a white jacket with black pants. She was possibly spotted wearing a black jacket and white pants later that day.
