One person was sent to a hospital overnight after a road rage incident led to a shooting on Interstate 25.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was driven to the hospital by one of the passengers in the vehicle, said Ana Munoz, a public information officer for the Denver Police Department.

Denver Police officers responded to a report of a shooting on the off-ramp on North I-25 between Park Avenue and Interstate 70 shortly before 11 p.m. Friday.

Officials discovered through the initial investigation that the shooting occurred after a road rage incident, but have heard conflicting stories of what led to the shooting, Munoz said.

The ramp between Park Avenue and I-70 was closed shortly after the shooting and reopened just before 7 a.m. Saturday.

Anyone with information regarding the incident are encouraged to contact the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
