The Vail Police Department is looking for a man who is accused of punching another man in the face for refusing to wear a face covering in Vail Village.

Police said the altercation happened on Dec. 23 about 11:30 a.m. near Bridge Street and Gore Creek Drive.

The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.

Police released a photo of the suspect from surveillance footage Tuesday to try to identify him.

Police are reminding residents that face coverings are required throughout Vail Village and Lionshead, including in parking structures.
