New photo of suspect in shooting of young girl, man released by Denver police
Denver police are seeking assistance identifying a man associated with a Monday night shooting that left a young girl in critical condition.
Authorities released a photo of the suspect and describe him as a Hispanic male in his 20s, who was last seen in a black hoodie with red flannel pajamas.
Previously officials released photos of a 2000 to 2004 red Subaru Outback associated to the suspect.
Denver police officers were dispatched to 2969 South Federal Boulevard after reports of a shooting came in at approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Police said a man was taking pictures of a vehicle parked in a handicapped space with a tire on the curb, when the suspect came out of a store and fired a gun at the man taking pictures.
The bullets struck the man while also hitting a 2 to 3 year old girl who was with her family picking up dinner in the parking lot during the shooting.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital.
The man was later discharged from the medical facility, while the girl was last known to be in critical condition.
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers increased the reward for information leading to the suspects arrest and conviction from $2,000 to $10,000 on Friday.
