Denver weather: Clear and cool Friday ahead of weekend snow
Denver weather is expected to be bright and chilly Friday, the National Weather Service in Boulder predicts.
Temperatures are likely to reach a high of 48 degrees with sunny skies and winds around 6 mph, the agency said.
Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to a low of 21 degrees with increasing clouds and light breezes.
Saturday will reach 33 degrees with breezes between 5 and 8 mph. There is a 20% chance of snow that is likely to increase to 70% by the afternoon, the weather service said.
No more than half an inch of snowfall is expected Saturday.
“Snow showers will begin in Colorado’s mountains Saturday morning, well after sunrise,” Denver Gazette news partner 9News reported. “They will spread east through the morning and may cross I-25 after the lunch hour on Saturday. Snow will continue to lightly fall through the afternoon and evening. It will end overnight.”
Next week is expected to be dry and cool with temperatures in the 40s and clear skies.

Monday: Sunny with a high near 48 degrees.
Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 53 degrees.
