Missing 14-year-old Aurora girl found safe
After nearly a week of searching, a missing 14-year-old girl was found safe, the Aurora Police Department announced Monday.
Police said the girl, named Daphne, was reported missing by her family after she left home Wednesday at 7 p.m. with a friend and never returned.
She lives in the 2100 block of South Richfield Way, near Rangeview High School.
In APD’s announcement Thursday morning, they labeled Daphne as a runaway.
Later that day, police said Daphne was believed to be with a 14-year-old boy, releasing surveillance footage of the two together in a store.
No foul play is suspected to have been involved in the case.
