Denver weather: Sunny and breezy ahead of snow

Friday is expected to be sunny and breezy in Denver, the National Weather Service in Boulder predicts.

Temperatures are likely to reach a high of 50 degrees with winds between 14 and 16 mph with gusts up to 24 mph, the agency said.

Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to a low of 28 degrees with increasing clouds and breezes between 5 and 9 mph.

The weekend forecast shows temperatures lingering in the 40s with cloudy skies and mild breezes, the weather service said.

Next week, slight chances of snow appear in the forecast.

Saturday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 46 degrees. Light and variable wind between 5 and 9 mph.

Sunday Partly sunny with a high near 49 degrees and winds between 7 to 10 mph with gusts up to 16 mph.

Monday: Partly sunny with a high near 44 degrees. A 40% chance of snow.

Tuesday: Partly sunny with a high near 37 degrees. A slight chance of snow before 11 a.m.
