Shooting accident causes quarter-acre grass fire in Boulder County
An accidental grass fire in unincorporated Boulder County burned a quarter of an acre Monday, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office announced.
The fire happened at 3:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of Saint Vrain Road, between the Foothills and Davis reservoirs, officials said.
An investigation revealed that residents in the area accidentally caused the fire while target shooting.
Officials from the Hygiene Fire Department, the Lyons Fire Department and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and contained the fire.
No structures were damaged or threatened.
