One person was wounded in Clifton after a suspect shot up two mobile homes Friday night, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday.
Deputies said the shooting happened just before 10:30 p.m. in the Candlewood Mobile Home Park at 424 32 Road. Multiple residents called to report sounds of gunshots.
When deputies arrived, they found numerous shell casings in the street and two homes that had been shot up.
One adult victim was identified and transported to a local hospital. Their injuries were non life-threatening and they have since been released from the hospital, deputies said.
Investigators believe the homes were specifically targeted for the attack.
Deputies said the shooter left the scene in a black four-door passenger vehicle. No further suspect information is available.
Anyone with information or who has a video of the described vehicle in the area around the time of the shooting is asked to call the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office at 970-242-6707.
