The Denver Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted for crimes against children.

Police said 24-year-old Kanique Reed is wanted for second-degree kidnapping, child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury and child abuse classified as second-degree assault.

Reed is a Black man with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5-feet-11-inches tall, 180 pounds and has tattoos on his neck and on both arms. He may be driving a white sedan.

Police said Reed might have access to firearms and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees Reed is warned not to make contact and to call 911 immediately.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
