16-year-old boy identified as victim in fatal Denver shooting
The victim of Tuesday’s fatal shooting in northeast Denver has been identified as 16-year-old La’Zic Abraham.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner said Abraham died Tuesday just before 10 p.m., less than an hour after the shooting. The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
The shooting happened about 9 p.m. in the 14500 block of East Maxwell Place, near the DCIS at Ford Elementary School.
Police said Abraham was found at the scene with a gunshot wound and taken to Children’s Hospital. He died from his injuries shortly after.
Abraham’s death is being investigated by the Denver Police Department as a homicide.
No arrests have been made. No suspect information is available at this time.
