Second person dies from crash with Denver Fire Department truck, victim identified
A second person involved in the crash with a Denver Fire Department truck on Saturday has died from their injuries, the Denver Police Department announced Thursday.
Debra Williams, 53, died Wednesday evening, She was one of the two passengers riding in the car struck by Rescue 1 at Broadway and Speer Boulevard.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner determined her cause of death was blunt force injuries.

On Wednesday, officials identified the first victim of the crash as 38-year-old Monica Charles.
Charles was the driver of the car and pronounced dead the day of the collision after being taken to a hospital, officials said. She also died from blunt force injuries.
The third passenger in the car remains in critical condition, officials said.
Denver Fire spokesman Greg Pixley said the technical rescue vehicle Rescue 1 was responding to a report of smoke at 14th Avenue and Kalamath Street when the collision happened.
Woman killed in crash involving Denver Fire vehicle identified
Pixley said Rescue 1 entered the intersection with its lights and sirens on, then collided with the vehicle. He said the collision happened as the traffic lights were changing but details are still unknown.
A similar collision happened in 2012 when a DFD fire truck hit a car while responding to a fire, killing the 80-year-old woman driver. The Denver Post reported that the woman ran a red light and was hit while in the intersection.
The Denver Police Traffic Investigations Unit and the Denver District Attorney’s office are investigating the incident.
